The Centre Équestre d’Unieux is an equestrian centre and pony club in Unieux, in France’s Loire department, about 15 minutes from central Saint-Étienne. Led by Xavier Xhémal and a team of qualified instructors, it welcomes riders of all ages and abilities in a friendly setting with dedicated facilities. Lessons range from baby pony sessions for children aged three and up to Galop 7, with group and private options focused on enjoyable, educational riding and safe progression.

Riders can learn horse care, grooming, theory, trail riding, dressage, jumping, pony games and horse-ball, and prepare for competitions. The centre also offers horse and pony boarding in fields or boxes, breeding, breaking-in, training and development. Additional activities include riding stages, multi-day hikes, discovery days for schools and children’s groups, and group programmes tailored to participants’ needs.

The centre organises official and in-house competitions, as well as club evenings, bringing together learning, recreation and equestrian sport. It aims to help riders build confidence and a close connection with its horses and ponies
