Centre Galanthis

Centre Galanthis is a French training centre dedicated to preparing doulas and thanadoulas for supportive roles across major life transitions. Its programmes focus on perinatal care, including pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period, as well as end-of-life support and bereavement. Training is available across metropolitan France and the overseas territories, with sessions listed in cities including Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Avignon, Bordeaux, Toulouse, Lille, Rennes and La Réunion.

Participants can choose a complete, year-long course or select individual modules to suit their aims and pace. The centre also offers complementary training for doulas and other support practitioners, including facilitating circles and workshops and using prenatal singing. Its curriculum addresses professional practice, communication, prenatal and birth support, postnatal care, breastfeeding, and support for women, couples and families facing perinatal difficulties.

Galanthis is led by a team of experienced doulas and uses in-person, small-group teaching informed by creative approaches and body awareness. Each module is taught by two trainers, with groups capped at 16.
