About Centro Cultural Islámico de Madrid
The Centro Cultural Islámico de Madrid, also known as Mezquita M30, is the largest mosque in Spain and Europe, located in Madrid's Ciudad Lineal District. This impressive complex spans 12,000 square meters across six floors, making it the largest mosque in Europe upon its inauguration. Apart from the mosque, the center features a school, a library with diverse Arabic, Spanish, English, and French collections, two exhibition halls, a museum, an auditorium, a gym, director and imam residences, a restaurant, and a cafeteria.
The white marble facade adds to the grandeur of the building. Inaugurated in 1992 by Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia and King Juan Carlos I of Spain, the mosque stands as a symbol of cultural exchange and religious tolerance. Offering various services such as prayer schedules, religious certificates, a restaurant serving halal Arabic cuisine, and educational programs, the Centro Cultural Islámico de Madrid serves as a vibrant hub for the Muslim community in the heart of Spain
