Centro de Acolhimento do Burro (CAB) is a nonprofit youth association founded in 2011 to protect donkeys and mules and promote their welfare. Based in Pena Branca, in Miranda do Douro, Portugal, the organization provides shelter and veterinary care for animals that are elderly, ill, mistreated, abandoned, or otherwise unable to receive adequate care. CAB also offers a new home to donkeys and mules whose owners can no longer look after them because of illness or advanced age.

Alongside its direct animal care, CAB shares information about donkey welfare, basic health needs, and how to respond to suspected mistreatment. The association invites the public to support its mission through donations, membership, and volunteering, and publishes news about its animals, activities, and community initiatives.
