Centrum Ostrůvek

Centrum Ostrůvek is a public-benefit organization established by the Olomouc Region and overseen by its Department of Social Affairs. Based in Olomouc and Šumperk, it provides a coordinated range of social and social-legal support for people with disabilities, children, and families needing assistance. Its services include residential care for people with disabilities, respite care, and social rehabilitation, as well as a facility offering immediate assistance to children who require urgent protection and care.

The organization serves clients aged 0–26 who need specialized health-related interventions, families facing challenges in caring for their children, and at-risk children aged 0–18 who need short-term crisis accommodation and full direct care while a longer-term solution is arranged. Centrum Ostrůvek also shares service information and guidance on how to apply, and organizes activities such as workshops for informal caregivers. Its facilities operate at several locations across Olomouc and Šumperk.

The organization aims to provide practical, person-oriented support for clients and their families
