Century Monument is a family-owned memorial company serving Rensselaer and New York’s Capital District since 1979. Founded by Ted Burek, the second-generation business carries forward a commitment to compassionate, attentive care for families honoring loved ones. With more than 70 years of combined industry experience, its staff helps customers choose and personalize lasting tributes without pressure, guiding them through design, material selection, and approval.
The company offers granite monuments and headstones in styles ranging from simple markers to elaborate estate memorials, mausoleums, civic features, and war memorials. Customers can select colors, shapes, lettering, and designs, including religious and floral motifs, and request changes to suit their preferences. Century Monument also provides cemetery lettering, cleaning, resetting, and memorial maintenance. Its certified Heirloom memorials use high-grade granite and are backed by a perpetual warranty covering materials and workmanship. Working with granite memorial manufacturer Buttura & Gherardi, the company supports customers from consultation and design sketches through production and installation.
