About cepm.org.in
Coimbatore Green Marathon is a community-focused environmental awareness event promoting the protection and restoration of Coimbatore’s natural environment. Scheduled for 24 October 2026 at 7:00 a.m. at Kongunadu College, the marathon is free to enter and open to participants aged 18 to 60. Registration closes on 20 October 2026.
The event connects running with practical green initiatives. Its mission includes protecting Western Ghats biodiversity, restoring water bodies, expanding urban green spaces, encouraging household waste reduction, promoting renewable energy, and working toward a zero-plastic goal. The organizers also state that a native tree sapling will be planted and nurtured for every registered runner.
Participants receive an eco-friendly registration kit, with a T-shirt and bib provided at the event. Runners are encouraged to bring reusable water bottles, and the event promotes litter-free participation and biodegradable materials. Through its registration portal, FAQs, and runner information, Coimbatore Green Marathon invites residents to take part in collective action for a greener city and healthier ecosystem.
