Cercicaper

Cercicaper is a community organisation based in Castanheira de Pera, Portugal, focused on supporting people with disabilities or other impairments. Its services include an Inclusion Resource Centre, a vocational training centre, supported independent living, a residential home, an occupational activities centre and a residential care home. The organisation also offers professional training for unemployed people aged 18 and over who have disabilities or impairments, helping them develop skills and access opportunities.

Cercicaper’s projects combine social participation, learning and practical activity. Ervas da Vila produces and sells organically grown aromatic and medicinal herbs, from planting and harvesting through drying and packaging. Other activities include boccia, dance, holiday programmes, the folk group Os Serranos, and initiatives such as InPressões, Põe-te na Minha Voz and DNA3. The organisation also provides opportunities to contribute through volunteering, donations, cooperative membership and company sponsorship. Supporters may donate by bank transfer or MB Way, or allocate 1% of their Portuguese income tax to Cercicaper.
