Cercivar

Cercivar is a social support organization based in Ovar, Portugal, dedicated to helping disadvantaged people participate in and (re)integrate into social and professional life. Its work focuses particularly on people with disabilities or other impairments, supporting their citizenship through personalized services and activities. Founded in 1976, Cercivar provides a range of social, educational, residential, inclusion, and vocational programs.

These include a special education school for children and young people aged 6 to 18 with special educational needs, a Resource Centre for Inclusion serving school students, and a Centre for Activities and Inclusion Capacity Building. Residential support is available through its Residential Home and Residences for Autonomy and Inclusion. Cercivar also offers professional training, with courses in service assistance, bakery and pastry, and upholstery.

Its services extend to an upholstery workshop, an automotive service station with more than 30 years of operation, and rental of a five-a-side synthetic-turf football field. The organization reports supporting 166 service users and employing 74 staff
