About Cerehis
Centrum pre religionistiku a historické štúdiá (CEREHIS) is an organization that brings together experts in the fields of religious studies, history, and related scientific disciplines. Our goal is to promote critical thinking in the humanities, foster interest in history, and combat religious and ethnic intolerance through education. CEREHIS conducts scientific research, prepares professional publications, and organizes expert conferences such as Žena na tróne a ženy bez trónu (Women on the Throne and Women without Thrones) and Obce za prevratu: mocenské, etnické a hospodárske zvraty na vidieku v rokoch 1918 – 1920 (Villages during the Revolution: Power, Ethnic, and Economic Changes in Rural Areas from 1918 to 1920).
We also focus on popularizing science through lecture series on topics related to religious studies and history. Some of our activities include Náboženstvá pod lupou (Religions Under the Microscope), Košická egyptologická jeseň (Košice Egyptological Autumn), and Filmové mýty a fakty (Film Myths and Facts).
