Certificación de Edificio Sustentable (CES) is a renowned brand in Chile that specializes in evaluating, certifying, and promoting the environmental performance of public buildings. Whether new or existing, CES assesses these buildings based on a set of mandatory and voluntary requirements, resulting in a comprehensive sustainability score. To achieve certification, buildings must fulfill the mandatory requirements and score a minimum of 30 points out of a maximum of 100.

CES was developed by the Instituto de la Construcción in collaboration with 13 public and private institutions, aiming to encourage the design and construction of sustainable buildings while emphasizing their value in the market. CES offers certification for various aspects, including indoor air quality, energy efficiency, water consumption, materials and waste management, as well as integrated design and innovation. With 459 historical records, 267 pre-certified projects, and 105 certified projects, CES is at the forefront of sustainable building practices in Chile
