Citizens of the Earth, Taiwan (CET) is a Taiwan-based environmental organization supported by public donations. It works to protect the environment through research, policy oversight, civic education and active advocacy aimed at institutional change. Its priorities include reducing everyday pollution, improving land governance, rethinking energy, and advancing intergenerational justice and equitable development. The foundation also addresses climate adaptation, mining regulation, farmland factory monitoring, sustainable transportation and the vision of a nuclear-free Taiwan.
It publishes analysis and commentary, reports on environmental issues, and shares updates on local recovery and governance, including work in eastern Taiwan. Through forums, lectures, film screenings and other public events, CET creates opportunities for learning and discussion. People can support its work through donations, volunteering, internships, newsletter subscriptions and sharing issue perspectives. With offices in Kaohsiung, Taipei and Hualien, Citizens of the Earth, Taiwan engages communities and policymakers to encourage more sustainable decisions and lasting environmental change.
