About CeWaFS-Ghana
CeWaFS-Ghana, the Centre for Women and Food Security, is a dedicated community development organization committed to empowering rural women and smallholder farmers in Ghana. Our mission is to promote food security and enhance livelihoods by fostering education and engagement in sustainable agricultural practices. We provide essential social and technical support, equipping these farmers with modern technologies and innovative methods to improve productivity and access to markets.
Our initiatives include training programs in organic farming, regenerative agricultural techniques, and effective waste management to minimize environmental impact. By focusing on climate-smart agriculture, we aim to restore depleted lands and forests, thereby enhancing ecosystem services and boosting food yields. CeWaFS-Ghana also emphasizes the importance of financial independence for women in agriculture, enabling them to uplift their communities while advocating for healthier diets and reduced food waste.
Through our inclusive approach, marked by passion and commitment, we strive to create a resilient and sustainable food system, ensuring that no one is left behind in the quest for food security.
