The Child & Family Guidance Center (CFGC) is a nonprofit provider of mental health care and family support for children, teenagers, and families in Fairfield County, Connecticut. Serving the community since 1925, CFGC aims to help young people become emotionally and psychologically healthy so they can reach their potential at home, at school, and in life. Its services include individual counseling, youth crisis support, family and parenting programs, and a Visitation Center offering supervised parent-child visits in a safe setting.
The organization provides culturally informed care and works with families facing concerns such as anxiety, sadness, school avoidance, bullying, substance use, grief, and relationship challenges. CFGC serves clients regardless of their ability to pay. Depending on the service, care may be free, covered by insurance, or offered for a fee on a sliding scale; accepted coverage includes Medicaid and Connecticut’s HUSKY programs.
