About USCGAUX District 7
The Southeast District of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary is a vital component of America's maritime safety and security efforts. This district is the largest in the nation, supporting over 3,800 trained volunteers across South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The Auxiliary plays a crucial role in various missions, including recreational boating safety, search and rescue operations, and maritime education.
Volunteers can engage in numerous activities, from conducting Vessel Safety Checks to teaching approved boating courses that help enhance public awareness of marine safety. Additionally, Auxiliary Culinary Assistants support Coast Guard units by providing meals during missions. Members receive extensive training, ensuring they are prepared to assist in water, air, and land operations. The Auxiliary's commitment not only bolsters the Coast Guard's capabilities but also fosters community resilience. Whether through education or support services, the Southeast District Auxiliary is dedicated to safeguarding America’s waterways and enhancing the boating experience for all.
