Their concrete sock, an alternative to steel tubular piles, paves the way for ecological transition in future constructions. By bringing together three French textile companies and civil engineering experts, CHAB Solutions has developed a geotextile tubular sheath after eight years of research and development. This unique solution prevents concrete leaks and replaces steel tubes in deep foundation drilling.

The concrete sock is specifically recommended when piles traverse an area with unconsolidated or poorly backfilled underground galleries, or cavities ranging from 1 to 2 meters or even higher. With a strong industrial presence in France, CHAB Solutions is led by Olivier Balas, the President of Balas Textile and CEO of CHAB. Balas has over 30 years of experience in the technical textile industry and is also the President of UNITEX, representing the Union of Textile Industries (UIT) in AURA.

Loic Alirand, President of the GSL Group, is responsible for sales at CHAB Solutions. GSL is a specialized group in Technical Textiles and has three other associated companies: CTMI, which focuses on high-performance composite materials based on Carbon and Quartz Glass fibers combined with Thermosetting Resins; LAP specializes in thermal, chemical, and electrical insulation; and ET-Tech supplies textiles for industrial composite applications.
