Challenge du Montcalm is a mountain trail-running event in the Pyrenees, with a history dating back to 1990. Its 36th edition is scheduled for August 13–16, 2026, welcoming runners of different abilities to race through the region’s high-altitude landscapes. Challenges include the 109-kilometer PICaPICA, which crosses France and Andorra and features 11,500 meters of positive elevation gain, and the 70-kilometer PicAriège, which follows the same route.

The Marathon du Montcalm covers 40 kilometers with 2,750 meters of climbing. The wider program also lists a 140-kilometer event, 25-, 15-, and 8-kilometer races, the Novis and Mineurs trails, and the 3. 4-kilometer KV du Sarrasi, with 1,080 meters of elevation gain.

A nighttime trail brings music and a festive atmosphere. The organization provides race information, regulations, registration, results, photos, and shuttle details, as well as children’s activities and a merchandise shop.
