Charentes Attelages

Charente Attelages is an equestrian association based in Verdille, Charente, dedicated to promoting carriage driving through instruction, competition and shared enjoyment of horses. Founded by Patrice Bagilet, a state-qualified instructor, world champion and ten-time French champion, the association welcomes beginners and experienced participants alike. Its FFE-labelled carriage-driving school provides experienced horses, equipment and suitable facilities for learning or improving skills. The team also offers support with training horses in harness, on the ground and under saddle.

Services include an FFE-labelled riding centre for riders of all levels, livery facilities with boxes and optional paddocks, carriage rides and picnics, and horse-drawn wedding transport with a choice of carriage. The association organises driving events, including dressage, marathon and cones competitions, indoor derby marathons, endurance rides and driven TREC. Facilities include an indoor arena, sand and grass arenas, marathon obstacles, cones courses, and access to year-round driving trails. Visitors can also use camping-car parking, showers, accommodation and a kitchen and dining area.
