The Charger Bulletin, founded in 1938, is the student news source of the University of New Haven. As the premier news publication on campus, The Charger Bulletin focuses on delivering articles that directly relate to college students and the surrounding community. The talented staff, made up of students from various majors, ages, skill levels, and backgrounds, is dedicated to reporting on topics that are important to the University of New Haven community.
The Charger Bulletin offers a range of programs to cater to different interests. The Charger Bulletin newspaper, led by Editor-in-Chief Kayla Mutchler, covers campus and national news, student life, entertainment, sports, editorials, and more. Newspapers are published bi-weekly and can be found in honor boxes across campus.
Additionally, articles and the digital version of the paper are available on chargerbulletin. com, their website since 2007. In 2017, The Charger Bulletin expanded its reach with the launch of WCBN, a broadcast section that produces Charger Bulletin News.
This weekly broadcast show covers the top news of the week and episodes are uploaded to YouTube and their social media accounts. Excitingly, The Charger Bulletin is now introducing Charger Bulletin Magazine, a long-form journalism outlet that is part of Managing Editor Amanda M. Castro’s honors thesis.
