Charleston Family Martial Arts offers family-oriented martial arts training for children and adults, with programs designed to build skills, confidence, and respect in a supportive setting. Its Family Karate classes welcome students ages seven and up, with adults and children training alongside their families while learning at an appropriate pace. Instruction includes striking fundamentals, practical self-defense, and weapons training with nunchucks, escrima sticks, and kamas. The program is rooted in American Freestyle Karate and includes full-contact sparring, structured drills, pad work, and skill-building games. Families test together every ten weeks.

For children ages four to six, Little Leaders classes introduce martial arts through games, movement, and foundational lessons in listening, coordination, respect, and confidence. Classes run Tuesday through Thursday at 4 p.m. and last 30 minutes, with parents welcome to observe. Students aged 13 and older with at least a purple belt can also join Saturday sparring sessions focused on safety, control, and practical experience.
