Charleston Polo Club

Charleston Polo Club is a polo organization based in Charleston, South Carolina, focused on renewing the sport’s tradition in the Lowcountry and creating ways for new participants to enter the game. Its offerings include instruction, membership, patronage opportunities, and a development circuit designed to support emerging riders, horses, and local competition.

A central part of the club’s work is the Cowboy Polo Circuit, described as a United States Polo Association (USPPA) development pathway. The circuit traces its roots to Palmetto Polo, a distinctly American tradition that began in the South. As Cowboy Polo approaches its 75th anniversary in 2027, Charleston Polo is working to preserve this heritage while connecting it with a practical route into the sport.

The club invites founding patrons, landholders, and potential partners to inquire about helping restore a lasting polo tradition in the region.
