Charlotte Bilingual Learning Center is a community-focused organization dedicated to helping Spanish-speaking children and families succeed in school and life. Founded in 1999, it has grown from a small preschool serving 15 children into an organization that serves more than 800 children and families annually. Its approach connects support for children, families, and educators to create lasting educational and economic opportunities while honoring the community’s cultures and languages.
The center’s work is organized around three areas. Its preschool programs develop bilingual learners and prepare children for kindergarten and beyond. Family programs provide opportunities for parents and caregivers to learn, lead, and thrive. Workforce development builds pathways into careers in early childhood education. Together, these services strengthen language skills, support families, and help expand access to opportunity.
Based in Charlotte, the organization also invites community members to learn about its work through school tours, events, volunteer opportunities, and its community newsletter.
