The Association Chasse et Pêche du Témiscouata (ACPT) is a nonprofit organization established in March 1971, dedicated to promoting and encouraging the practices of responsible hunting and fishing. With a membership base of over 500, ACPT is committed to protecting the interests of hunters and anglers, particularly among the youth, and fostering responsible behaviors towards the environment and habitats used for these activities.

ACPT focuses on three key areas: ensuring the sustainability of wildlife resources, developing engagement strategies among young individuals, and organizing various hunting and fishing tournaments. One of their innovative projects includes the protection of the Témiscouata Lake, aimed at ensuring the natural recruitment of the touladi species while addressing the declining population. This initiative involves monitoring spawning sites and conducting regular stocking to support fishing efforts.

As an active member of the Fédération Québécoise des Chasseurs et Pêcheurs, ACPT plays a vital role in the community, facilitating events and workshops that cultivate a respect for nature and the traditional practices of hunting and fishing.
