Château MontPlaisir is a family-run wine estate and tourism destination in Provence, southern France, founded by Benoît Chaignon. The property cultivates 14 hectares of vines and olive trees across distinctive sites near Vinsobres and Valréas. Its vineyards include high-altitude plots with rounded stones and soils of safre, a local sandstone, providing the setting for wines that balance finesse and character.
The estate’s range includes red, white, and rosé wines under the Cru Vinsobres and Côtes du Rhône Villages Valréas appellations. A recently built winery and tasting room in Valréas provide a place to discover the wines. Guests can also visit the renovated seventeenth-century château, which has been adapted to welcome visitors and support the estate’s wine tourism activities.
Château MontPlaisir offers luxury accommodation for individuals and groups, as well as winery visits and stays. Its historic setting is also available for seminars, events, and family gatherings, combining wine, hospitality, and exploration of the local terroir.
