Chatham Sailing Club

Chatham Sailing Club is a community sailing organization based in Savannah, Georgia, dedicated to bringing boat owners and sailing enthusiasts together. Founded in 2013, the club has grown to more than 100 members and welcomes people of all experience levels. Its programs combine sailing education, racing, conservation, and social activities, creating opportunities for members and the wider community to learn, participate, and connect.

The club offers two-day beginner sailing classes and supports intermediate and advanced learning through partner organizations and affiliates. Members can take part in a calendar of races and regattas, including seasonal series and the Low Country Ocean Hook Race. Chatham Sailing Club also hosts community events such as weekly Sundowner socials, movie nights, workshops, and seasonal gatherings at its clubhouse on Wilmington Island Road. The organization welcomes new members, sponsors, and community supporters, and shares race information, event updates, and learning opportunities online. Committed to environmentally responsible sailing, the club is sustainably powered and has received Sailors for the Sea Platinum Clean Regattas certification twice.
