Chatterie des Amours Birmanes is a family-run cattery in Essonne, France, devoted to breeding Sacred Birman cats. Founded in 2008, it focuses on thoughtful breed selection and raising affectionate, balanced kittens, with animal welfare central to its approach. The cattery is a member of Birmania and Co and the SNPCC, and reports health screening that includes FIV and FeLV testing, blood typing, and genetic identification.
Cats are raised in a family home, with adult cats (except breeding males) enjoying indoor space and access to a secure outdoor garden. Kittens stay with their mothers while they develop, receive attentive socialisation, and are accustomed to household sounds, people, other animals, and car travel. At three months or older, kittens leave identified, registered with LOOF, vaccinated against typhus and coryza, and dewormed. New owners receive adoption guidance and a kitten starter kit with premium food. Some kittens are placed already sterilised. The cattery also shares breed advice and news, and occasionally presents its calm cats at the International Agricultural Show.
