Chau Family Charitable Foundation

The Chau Family Charitable Foundation is a California-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit established in May 2017 by Frederick and Dorothy Chau. The Foundation supports nonprofit institutions working toward worthy causes and invests in programs that help improve opportunities for future generations. Its scholarship program, launched in Spring 2024, provides financial assistance to students pursuing college and career-oriented education, with priority for first-generation college-bound students and those from non-traditional households.

For the 2026–2027 academic year, the Chau Family Charitable Foundation Scholarship Fund plans to support 15 graduating seniors from the Hacienda La Puente Unified School District who intend to attend a Southern California community college. Eligible students must meet residency requirements, have at least a 2.50 GPA, and enroll full time. The award provides $2,000 annually for two years, paid by semester toward educational expenses such as tuition, books, housing, transportation, and meals. A possible third year of support may be available subject to conditions. Applicants submit required materials online, by email, or by mail during the stated application period.
