Chau Kaizen is a family-friendly martial arts and fitness academy in Prospect, Adelaide, around 10 minutes from the CBD. Founded as a casual club in 2003 and operating as a full-time academy since 2008, it has been based in Prospect since 2016. The academy welcomes complete beginners and experienced athletes, offering expert coaching in a supportive, inclusive environment.
Adult classes, for ages 14 and over, include Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, taught in Gi and No Gi, mixed martial arts, and fitness kickboxing. Kickboxing uses pads and heavy bags, with no sparring or contact between members. Children aged 6 to 13 can attend age-appropriate BJJ and MMA classes, with coaching focused on confidence, discipline, and respect.
Chau Kaizen also offers limited one-to-one personal training for beginners, people returning from injury or a break, members seeking faster progress, and competitors preparing for events. Newcomers can book a free trial class, with no obligation or payment details required. The academy offers a 25% membership discount to veterans, emergency services personnel, and their immediate families.
