The Chinese Historical and Cultural Project (CHCP) is a non-profit organization based in Santa Clara County, California. Established in 1987, its mission is to promote and preserve Chinese American and Chinese history and culture through various community outreach activities. CHCP's flagship project was the reconstruction of the Ng Shing Gung, a religious and community center that was originally built in 1888 in San Jose's Heinlenville settlement, the last Chinatown of San Jose.
Today, the Ng Shing Gung Museum, located in History Park, serves as a Chinese American Museum, showcasing the stories of early Chinese pioneers in the Santa Clara Valley. The museum features an original gold-gilded altar and five gods, as well as a short documentary film directed by Oscar-award winner Jessica Yu. In addition to the museum, CHCP offers a range of educational programs and grants, including the Heritage Education Link Program, Immigration Program Grants, and the Lillian Gong-Guy Memorial Scholarship.
With a commitment to inclusivity and non-discrimination, CHCP welcomes individuals of all backgrounds to explore and appreciate Chinese history and culture

How do I download the CHCP logo?
The CHCP logo comes in two versions: a logo and an icon. Download as transparent PNG or JPEG.
What does CHCP's branding look like?
The CHCP logo is a compact, multicolored square emblem: a red-and-yellow border frames bold Chinese characters and the CHCP name, with a vertical red strip of Chinese text at the side and a small English organization label below. Its visual identity combines compact, sturdy display lettering and simpler text, a palette of red, yellow, black, and white against light backgrounds, and information-led layouts that pair museum and community-history imagery with clearly segmented event and program listings.
What are CHCP's brand colors?
The CHCP color palette uses the hex codes #F4D55E, #D9EBCC and #3696A4.
