Chebeague Transportation Company (CTC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation based in Chebeague Island, ME. Managed by a volunteer board of directors, CTC has been the lifeline for the island community since 1975, offering reliable access to and from the island. With a fleet of three vessels, a barge, three buses, and two parking lots, CTC operates 365 days a year, 24 hours a day.
CTC serves a diverse range of commuters, retirees, and residents, providing essential transportation services. CTC membership is open to anyone interested in supporting their mission. While membership does not come with discounts or special rates, it grants access to past meeting agendas, minutes, and presentations.
CTC is proud to be managed by friends and neighbors, with their board of directors meeting monthly and welcoming members of the public. CTC also offers employment opportunities on the island for skilled professionals, such as captains, deckhands, bus drivers, and parking lot attendants.
