About CHECK-IN
Associação Check-IN - Cooperação e Desenvolvimento is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2010. Based in Beja, Portugal, with an additional location in the center of Lisbon, Check-IN aims to promote lifelong learning opportunities, empower young people to become active citizens in their communities, encourage social integration and inclusion, and provide education for sustainable development. The organization pays special attention to disadvantaged youth who may face challenges accessing information due to their geographical location, socioeconomic status, or personal circumstances.
Check-IN is actively engaged in urban areas, creating local projects in vulnerable neighborhoods in Lisbon. Their work is deeply rooted in European values such as respect for human rights, democracy, gender equality, ecological awareness, intercultural tolerance, and solidarity among people. They achieve their mission through various activities and projects, including workshops, seminars, team-building activities, youth exchanges, training courses, and information sessions.
