Checkin Producciones

CheckIn Producciones is a contemporary theatre initiative associated with Andrés Lima and Joseba Gil. It works across research, reflection, production and presentation, developing performances that engage with society, emotions and public debate. The company describes its approach as both demanding and popular: audiences are treated as interlocutors rather than passive spectators, and creative processes may involve collective work and public participation.

Its activities extend beyond staging productions. CheckIn opens research processes to audiences and other professionals, and connects training and shared exploration with creation. This includes workshops, performances, the promotion of related activities, and national and international touring.

Its repertoire spans varied subjects and forms, with productions including 1936, focused on the Spanish Civil War; Asesinato y adolescencia, a contemporary thriller about adolescence and violence; Shock 1: El Cóndor y el Puma; Shock 2: La Tormenta y la Guerra; Todas las canciones de amor, an emotional journey combining drama and comedy; and Prostitución.
