Checkpoint Tactical

Checkpoint Tactical is a disabled-veteran-owned and operated firearms training provider offering civilian instruction, concealed carry classes, and police- and SWAT-based training. Its instructors draw on police certification and extensive concealed-carry experience to help students build safe, practical firearm skills. Programs can be tailored to a participant’s knowledge and experience, with instruction available for beginners, returning shooters, and those seeking more advanced preparation.

The company’s New Jersey concealed-carry classes cover use of force, concealment, drawing and re-holstering, reloading, low-light familiarization, and live-fire qualification. Checkpoint Tactical states that its training follows New Jersey State Police guidelines and includes documented instruction and qualification records. It also offers skill-building sessions, performance pistol courses, defensive pistol and shotgun training, AR instruction, red-dot training, CPR/AED and Stop the Bleed classroom sessions, and private qualification appointments. Students must meet the stated firearm-handling prerequisites for concealed-carry qualification; other training is available to help them prepare. Checkpoint Tactical provides guidance for applying for a New Jersey concealed-carry permit, while applicants submit their applications through the state police process.
