CheikhNico

CheikhNico is a learning and prevention initiative formed by the CheikhNico-France and CheikhNico-Sénégal associations. Inspired by the death of Cheikh Nicolas, who suffered a fatal cardiac arrest in Dakar in 2005 when people nearby did not know how to help, the organization works to make first-aid skills accessible and practical. Its training and awareness activities cover responding to choking, severe bleeding, unconsciousness, cardiac arrest, illness, wounds, burns, and skeletal injuries.

The aim is to help people act effectively in an emergency while waiting for medical professionals. CheikhNico serves a broad range of communities, including families, neighbourhoods, schools, associations, businesses, universities, and other organizations. Alongside health prevention, the association promotes cultural exchange between France and Senegal, bringing together artists, musicians, and creators and showcasing their work.

Some creations may be available through its online shop. Visitors can support the organization by becoming members, promoting its activities, sharing its values, or making a donation. Through these efforts, CheikhNico advances solidarity, humanity, and a lasting cultural and artistic connection between the two countries
