Chemins

Chemins.be is a dedicated platform created by the Chemins de Wallonie association, focused on preserving and promoting public paths and trails in the Walloon region. With an impressive inventory covering approximately 87% of the area, Chemins.be offers a collaborative space for mapping and documenting public routes across Wallonia, safeguarding them against privatization and unfair closures. The association not only assists local groups and individuals in advocating for their rights to these trails but also supports municipalities facing challenges from non-compliant landowners.

Additionally, Chemins.be provides essential resources, including a documentation center and legal guidance, to help users navigate regulations regarding public pathways. The site features a wealth of information on current public inquiries and ongoing issues related to trail accessibility, ensuring the community stays informed. With ties to various initiatives, including an emphasis on responsible pet ownership in public spaces, Chemins.be stands as a crucial ally for outdoor enthusiasts and a champion for sustainable mobility in Wallonia.
