CheriCheval

CheriCheval is the equine therapy and training practice of Maya Zimmer, an osteopathic equine specialist, Tellington trainer and horse manager based in Iserlohn. Its approach brings therapy and training together, recognizing that each horse has individual needs and that its living environment and role as a human partner can affect its wellbeing. CheriCheval aims to support horses’ long-term health while helping owners learn to recognize concerns, address them early and prevent problems where possible.

Training is informed by the Tellington-Ttouch method and emphasizes calm, low-stress learning rather than domination. The work considers each horse’s character, biomechanics and natural movement, with the goal of building a willing, trusting partnership and supporting mental, physical and emotional balance. Services include equine osteopathic therapy, horse training, young horse development, riding and groundwork instruction, and individual video coaching for clients unable to arrange mobile lessons. Through this holistic approach, CheriCheval helps horses and their people develop practical skills and a more thoughtful, supportive way of working together.
