About Cherished Pets Foundation
Cherished Pets is a unique veterinary social enterprise, founded in 2015 by veterinarian Dr Alicia Kennedy in the Geelong region of Victoria, Australia. Their mission is to support companion pet ownership for vulnerable individuals and provide assistance to pets and their owners throughout all life stages, including difficult times. Cherished Pets offers a range of services aimed at ensuring the well-being of pets and their owners.
Their GP Veterinary Service provides comprehensive healthcare for pets, while their End Of Life Veterinary Social Work program helps individuals navigate the emotional challenges of saying goodbye to a beloved pet. The Community Pet Hub offers dental services, behavioral training, and pain management for pets with chronic diseases. Cherished Pets also holds informative events and provides testimonials to create a sense of community.
As a social benefit company, Cherished Pets Community Veterinary Care (CPCVC) focuses on strengthening the bond between humans and animals. The Cherished Pets Foundation (CPF) is their charitable partner, dedicated to supporting the elderly and disabled individuals in the Bellarine region in their companion pet ownership.
