Chesapeake Guide Service

Chesapeake Guide Service is an established wingshooting operation serving hunters on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Owned and operated by native Eastern Shoreman Tom Marvel, the business continues a family tradition of waterfowl guiding that reaches back to his great-grandfather in the 1920s. Its approach reflects a long connection to the region’s hunting heritage and an appreciation for sound wildlife management.

The service offers guided hunts for a range of waterfowl, including puddle ducks, diving ducks, sea ducks, Canada geese, and snow geese, with opportunities across the Eastern Shore. It also provides dove and whitetail deer hunting. The company maintains leases in three sought-after counties on the Upper Eastern Shore and highlights the early muzzleloader season among its hunting opportunities.

For guests, Chesapeake Guide Service offers a comfortable lodge that sleeps up to 10 people. The lodge includes two and a half bathrooms, a full kitchen, a washer and dryer, and an outdoor fireplace area. Centrally located near many of the hunting leases, it provides convenient accommodation for hunting trips.
