Cheshire Wildlife Trust is a grassroots conservation charity working to protect and restore nature across Cheshire and surrounding areas, including Halton, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford, Warrington and Wirral. For more than 60 years, it has championed local wildlife and brought people together to support nature’s recovery. The Trust manages around 40 nature reserves, protecting a variety of habitats, from grasslands and wet meadows to reedbeds, coastal dunes and woodland. Its work also includes influencing land management, campaigning for stronger environmental protections and developing natural carbon solutions in response to the climate and nature crises.

The Trust helps people of all ages connect with wildlife through events, educational resources, school visits, advice and opportunities to explore local wild places. Individuals, families, schools, communities and businesses can take action through volunteering, campaigns and Cheshire’s Wild Network. Supporters can become members, donate, leave a gift in their Will, shop for wildlife-inspired products or sign up for the weekly e-newsletter.
