Auckland Chess Association is a chess organisation serving the Auckland, New Zealand chess community, with a focus on activities involving its members and member clubs. Its website shares news, event information, results and historical material, helping players and clubs keep up with local competition and association activity.

A major part of the association’s programme is its interclub tournaments. These include A-Grade and B-Grade events, junior interclubs and blitz, or lightning, interclubs. Competitions feature teams of four players and are held over multiple rounds; the format and schedule vary by event. The published 2025 calendar lists tournaments at Auckland Chess Centre on Cromwell Street, while earlier event coverage provides a record of past interclub play.

The site also offers contact details and a way to send the association a message. Through its news and tournament information, Auckland Chess Association supports organised chess competition and provides a central source of updates for players interested in chess across Auckland. The website’s historical content adds context to the association’s ongoing events and member-focused activities.
