Chessburg

The Chess Federation of Yekaterinburg is the city’s official chess organization, connecting players, clubs, coaches, and enthusiasts through education, competition, and chess news. Its website provides information about the federation, schools, ratings, refereeing, articles, and local chess activities, alongside photo and video archives. The federation supports ongoing chess instruction across Yekaterinburg and nearby suburbs, offering both group and individual lessons for learners in different parts of the city. Online chess lessons are also available.

Players can find details about tournaments in a range of formats, including rapid, blitz, and classical chess. Events include recurring club competitions and community tournaments, with registration information and, where applicable, international rating calculations. The federation also shares news about local players, clubs, and achievements, and promotes opportunities to take part in online chess, including interclub competitions on Lichess. A chess shop is listed among the site’s resources. For lesson enquiries and other information, the federation provides contact by phone, WhatsApp, Telegram, and email, as well as a listed address on Michurina Street.
