Later, they acquired the Renown Fresh Meat business and established Chester Wholesale Meat KZN (Pty) Ltd. In 2000, they moved to their current impressive facility in Congella, Durban, spanning over 27,000m².

The group has also ventured into retail, opening their first Chester Butcheries in 2003 and continuing to expand their presence throughout KZN, Gauteng, and the Eastern Cape.
