Chicago Hearing Society (CHS), a division of Anixter Center, provides communication access and support for people who are Deaf, DeafBlind, and hard of hearing. Based in Chicago, the organization also works with businesses and community groups to promote a welcoming, inclusive environment.

CHS helps organizations arrange qualified sign language interpreters, certified deaf interpreters, oral and relay interpreters, and real-time captioning. Its audiology clinic, staffed by licensed audiologists and equipped for hearing care, offers hearing evaluations, hearing aid selection and fittings, pediatric hearing aids, tinnitus assistance, cochlear implant services, hearing protection, and prevention and treatment of hearing loss. The clinic serves Medicaid, self-pay, private-pay, and third-party-insured patients, subject to applicable requirements.

Beyond clinical and access services, CHS provides community outreach, advocacy, education, training, workshops, social services, and domestic violence and victim assistance. Its programs include ASL counseling, youth services, DeafBlind support, and community and school support. CHS also offers adult, youth, and family sign language classes, custom ASL options, and youth and family connections, including Deaf Mentor and literacy resources.
