The Philippine Consulate General in Chicago represents the Philippine government and provides consular services to Filipinos and other members of the public in its jurisdiction. Its office handles passport applications, dual citizenship, visas, notarial services, and civil registry reports for births, marriages, and deaths. It also assists with renunciation of Philippine citizenship, support for nationals, and overseas voter registration. Passport applicants are directed to book through the Global Online Appointment System, while clients can find guidance on requirements, track mailed documents, and submit feedback through the Consulate’s website.

Beyond individual services, the Consulate supports the Filipino community through outreach missions, community information sessions, cultural events, and public announcements. Its work includes promoting Philippine tourism and trade, sharing information for people doing business in or traveling to the Philippines, and publicizing the Very Important Pinoy tour. The website also provides updates on elections, holidays, advisories, and consular procedures. Through partnerships with community organizations and local institutions, the Consulate helps connect Filipino Americans with Philippine services, culture, and opportunities.
