Shaped by the founders’ experiences of caring for loved ones through crises and navigating healthcare, the organisation aims to turn those challenges into support and practical resources for others. Its work recognises that living with sickle cell extends beyond medical appointments, and includes families and communities as well as patients.

Chiedza and Alice offers support intended to help individuals and families manage everyday challenges, including pain crises and navigating the healthcare system. It develops bespoke programmes to build knowledge and equip people with tools to take a more active role in their health. The organisation also works to make clear, reliable, up-to-date information about sickle cell disease easier to access and understand.
