Chief Records is a family-owned and operated business located in the heart of the historic Fort Worth Stockyards. Our story began with a deep passion for music that led us to the iconic Ernest Tubb Record Shop. Back then, this legendary record shop was the go-to place for anything and everything Western Swing, Honky Tonk, Bluegrass, and country music.
Inspired by this rich musical heritage, we took over the Ernest Tubb Record Shop and proudly continue its legacy as Chief Records. Our name pays homage to country music legend Ray Price and the Cherokee Cowboys, who shaped the Texas Dance Halls & Honky Tonks scene. At Chief Records, we believe in preserving the music and culture that we hold dear.
While we carry all genres, our heart and soul will always be dedicated to real country music. We take pride in boasting one of the largest vinyl collections of country and western music. Whether you're hunting for a classic album or discovering new artists, we invite you to swing by Chief Records.
Join us and immerse yourself in the world of timeless music. Contact us today with any questions or visit our store in Fort Worth, Texas
