About CLDF
Children's Liver Disease Foundation, established in 1980, is the UK's sole charity dedicated to combating all childhood liver diseases. They offer a comprehensive information hub on childhood liver disease for healthcare professionals and families, tailored support services for children, young people, and young adults with liver disease, research on various aspects of childhood liver diseases, and a collective voice for those affected by childhood liver disease. In April 2024, they merged with the British Liver Trust to enhance their ability to provide information and support for all types of liver diseases.
Every week, 20 children in the UK are diagnosed with life-threatening childhood liver disease, and more children are currently diagnosed with liver disease than childhood leukemia. With over 100 different liver diseases affecting babies, children, and young people, their dedicated work in this field is essential.
