About Child Protection Network Foundation
Child Protection Network Foundation (CPN) is a non-governmental organization dedicated to preventing and treating child abuse. They focus on increasing accessibility to services for abused children in the Philippines. CPN's main initiative is the establishment of Women and Children Protection Units (WCPUs) in hospitals, where abused children can receive medical intervention and other essential services in a safe and child-friendly environment.
Currently, there are 115 WCPUs in 59 provinces and 10 independent cities, serving over 98,000 children and adolescents. CPN also provides training to frontliners in child protection, such as judges, prosecutors, social workers, and police officers. Their work has gained international recognition and they have partnered with leading universities for research collaboration in the field.
CPN's vision is to protect all children in the Philippines and throughout Asia from abuse and neglect. They operate with guiding principles of excellence, integrity, collaboration, leadership, and humility. CPN is registered with government authorities and accredited by relevant bodies
