About Children First
Children First is committed to providing a range of services for families with children up to six years of age who are at risk for or experiencing mental health challenges or developmental concerns. Our programs are based on a family-centred approach that respects the beliefs, values, and culture of every family. We aim to support and encourage families in their efforts to meet the needs of their children by recognizing and utilizing their strengths and resourcefulness. We believe in inclusion and work collaboratively with other community agencies, early learning and child care centres, and schools to ensure that every child has every opportunity for a successful future.
Our services include mental health support, individual and family plans, infant and child development services for child care centres, groups for parents, and resources for families, as well as information about rights and responsibilities.
