Children of the Dawn is a Non-Profit Organisation dedicated to supporting and strengthening rural community initiatives that focus on caring for HIV/AIDS orphans and vulnerable children in South Africa. Our goal is to create a just, non-discriminatory, and sustainable approach to rural community development, where everyone can live a life of dignity, free from poverty and oppression. We work to achieve this through various strategies, including generating holistic social, educational, economic, and environmental justice.

Our focus is on children and youth aged 6-24 years old, and we collaborate closely with community initiatives, social movements, and supporters to deliver grassroots programs, emergency relief, and campaign for rural community development. We have five pillars of work that aim to create equal development opportunities for our beneficiaries, including nutrition support, educational activities, guidance and mentoring programs, student mentorship and financial assistance, and promoting wellbeing and positive values through sports. With a presence in nine rural communities across South Africa, we are committed to making a real change in the lives of communities and helping rural initiatives access their rights and opportunities
